My Journey

Hey, I’m Ashley, a lover of all things Disney, yellow, and skincare. I’m a licensed esthetician, certified meditation instructor, and now a Nutritional Therapist! I became a licensed esthetician because I have suffered from acne since I was 15 years old. I wanted to be able to help so many feel confident in their own skin because I never did. As I worked as an esthetician my skin would get better on medication and harsh skin routines but would always come back.

 

In my mid-twenties, I noticed rapid weight gain that I couldn’t lose even after exercising for hours and starving myself. In 2020 I was diagnosed with PCOS and that made so much sense to me. My PCOS was causing my weight gain, acne, and other symptoms! I started on an anti-inflammatory diet and about 20 different supplements. After a year I had lost 35 pounds but still struggled with my acne and now that my weight wasn’t my main concern I started noticing other symptoms I had been dealing with my entire life, anxiety, insomnia, and major bloating. So naturally I became a meditation instructor to help with the anxiety and insomnia, but still struggled with major digestive distress. It wasn’t until I worked with a nutritional therapist that I actually got the results I was after.

After working with my nutritional therapist I realized that this was my calling. I had been searching for a root cause approach by becoming an esthetician and a meditation instructor but still hadn’t found it. Nutritional therapy put all that I had learned together in the same world plus foundational knowledge about food and lifestyle choices. I can now feel confident in my own skin and share this knowledge with ​​others. This journey has had lots of ups and of course some downs, and because of the low times, I know how to navigate this healing journey. I tried DIY-ing my health for years and I would love to save you the trouble.

My mission as a nutritional therapist is to bring knowledge about food and lifestyle to my community in a fun and joyful way. Food doesn’t have to be stressful or boring. Meditation doesn’t have to be confusing or tedious. Feeling good inside and out should be natural.
