What is it?

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a functional lab test to break down the mineral content within a hair sample. This detailed analysis provides insights into your cellular mineral levels, helping us pinpoint the underlying causes of your health issues.

With this knowledge, we can customize protocols to address your specific health concerns. Now, let's explore the four distinctive markers within the HTMA.

Metabolic type

Your metabolic type will be the first thing we discuss. This will show us how your body has been functioning in relation to stress via the adrenal glands and the thyroid.

The test will categorize your metabolic type into either a fast or a slow type and based on that information we will best know how to support your body.

Top Minerals

Having a good balance of minerals in your body is important for everything to work properly.

If your mineral levels are low or too high it can not only explain why you might be having some health problems, but it can also show that there might be other issues in your body that need to be addressed.

Heavy Metals

The HTMA is NOT a heavy metals test. The purpose of this marker is to shed light on the toxic load your body is experiencing and how you are doing with detoxing them.

We are all exposed to heavy metals in our environment and we want to be sure we are naturally excreting them.

Mineral Ratios

This is arguably the most important marker on the test. The goal is a balance with minerals as they all work together well or they work against each other.

These ratios give us insight into digestion, blood sugar regulation, adrenals, thyroid, and the nervous system.

Purpose

Based on these 4 markers we can discover what your body has been going through the last 3-4 months. Using this valuable information I will create a diet, lifestyle, and supplementation plan to create more balance for your mineral ratios and will help support getting your metabolism marker to an optimal place.
